Like the neck lei, lei po'o can be worn on any occasions. There are 2 styles of making lei po'o, HAKU which the flowers and greenery are braided to make the lei usually using Ti leafs, while the WILI(VILI) the flowers and greenery are bound by wrapping them to a base usually rafia.
