UNIVERSAL ORLANDO VLOG 2 | FIRST DAY! What It's Really Like to Go to Universal Alone?

My first ever full solo park day in Orlando is here! 🥹🎢 After arriving in Orlando and getting settled at Universal's Cabana Bay Beach Resort, it's finally time to experience something I've never done before… a full day exploring Universal Orlando completely on my own. And because I was awake ridiculously early, I decided to make the most of Early Park Admission (EPA) at Islands of Adventure and head straight for one of my favourite rides — Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure. The plan? Rope drop Hagrid's. Did it go to plan? Of course not! 😂 With a delay on Hagrid's, I made a spontaneous decision to head over to VelociCoaster instead. Was that the sensible choice first thing in the morning? Probably not… but it was SO much fun! After that, I headed back through Islands of Adventure for a much-needed Starbucks breakfast, before discovering that simply slowing down and wandering around Universal CityWalk might actually be one of my favourite things about travelling solo. Then it was time for a much slower start to Universal Studios Florida. No rushing from ride to ride — just taking in the atmosphere, enjoying the little moments and reminding myself that I didn't have to be anywhere else. First stop? Illumination's Villain-Con Minion Blast… although I'm still not entirely sure whether my score was actually any good! 😂 Then it was a trip down memory lane as I made my way to one of my all-time favourite Universal attractions, Men in Black: Alien Attack, sharing some of my childhood memories along the way. From there, I wandered towards The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley, where I stopped for some water, sat down and simply soaked up the atmosphere. And then I stumbled across The Bourne Stuntacular just as a show was about to start… 30 minutes in the air conditioning, comfy seats and a chance to rest my feet? Perfect! Well… until the show was cancelled. 😭 BUT… I was given an Express Pass as compensation, so there was only one thing to do… Straight to Revenge of the Mummy! 🎢🔥 And WOW. What an incredible ride. Back at Cabana Bay, I thought the day was finally going to calm down… until we had a power cut at the hotel! 😂 But there was no stopping this solo adventure. That evening I headed back out to CityWalk, stopping at Universal Studios Florida to watch the Mega Movie Parade, before grabbing a Strawberry Daiquiri from Fat Tuesday and heading to the Waterfront Stage for Universal CityWalk's Sounds of Summer live music series. Live music, cocktails, warm Orlando evenings and absolutely no one else's schedule to worry about.
