This tutorial will show you how to create a classic cased-in or hardbound book. This is Part 1and will show you how to create the textblock. You can see how to create the covers and put it all together in Part 2:    • Making a Case Bound Book - Part 2   Here is a great source for the bookboard, or binder's board, mentioned in the video. You can get it in several different thicknesses. https://amzn.to/30v1E0S If you're tired of cutting bookboard by hand (particularly the thicker bookboard used for making boxes and slipcases) this inexpensive guillotine works wonderfully and is a real time and hand-saver. https://amzn.to/3L7i86c And a variety of headbands from Lineco. This is a link to the black and white version, but they offer other colors. https://amzn.to/38BSKCC Also a great source for PVA adhesive: https://amzn.to/2YBzkrU And a source for Super (also called Mull) https://amzn.to/2Q8UzhQ And, last but not least, a source for the wonderful text-weight paper shown in this video. You'll want Rives Lightweight, the 115 gsm paper. https://amzn.to/2QeIasF BUY ME A COFFEE: ○ If you enjoy the content, please support me here: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/KristiWa... ○ Don't forget to subscribe, and visit my website at http://www.handmadebooksandjournals.com/ ○ Email me: kristi@handmadebooksandjournals.com ○ Visit http://kristihandmadebooks.etsy.com to purchase 3D printed bookmaking tools.
