Last Light on the Block | 90s Jazz Hip Hop & Deep Vocals | Animated Music Video

Last Light on the Block — original jazz hip-hop by Lumavory. A deep, relaxed voice over dusty 90s boom-bap drums, warm jazz piano, rounded bass and mellow trumpet. A late-night story about slowing down, neighbors, family and finding a little room to breathe. Original retro artwork with animated rain, rippling reflections and warm evening lights. LYRICS Last light on the block, little rain on the glass, Mr. Wilson shuts the diner, lets the last train pass. I got twenty in my pocket and a tune in my head, And a list of little worries I can leave till bed. Used to hurry through the city like the streets owed me gold, Now I stop to hear a story when the evening gets cold. There's a man outside the record shop who knows my father's name, Says the world keeps changing, but the good notes stay the same. Let the last light stay, Let the long day fade. We got nowhere we gotta be, Just a little room to breathe. Mama calls to ask me if I'm eating something green, I say pickles on a burger, she says boy, you know what I mean. My old friend bought a smartwatch, says it helps him find his peace, Now it buzzes every minute telling him to get some sleep. Me, I keep a broken wristwatch in the drawer beside the bed, It reminds me there's a life outside the numbers in my head. And the roof might need some fixing, and the rent might need a prayer, But there's coffee for a neighbor, and another kitchen chair. Let the last light stay, Let the long day fade. We got nowhere we gotta be, Just a little room to breathe. All the things I thought would save me never knew my name, It was people at my table who could see me through the rain. Let the last light stay, Let the long day fade. We got nowhere we gotta be, Just a little room to breathe. #JazzHipHop #BoomBap #90sHipHop #ChillMusic #Lumavory
