The Ballad of Barrowmere A song written by Leviticus, a College of Lore bard, after his first adventure in Barrowmere. Leviticus arrived in town looking for an old friend named Edric. Instead, he found Edric dead—and discovered that his death was connected to something buried beneath Barrowmere. There were roots that carried memories. Voices belonging to dead men. A grave that shouldn't have mattered. Journals Leviticus couldn't remember writing. And evidence suggesting that this wasn't the first time he'd investigated any of it. In fact, he may have solved the mystery before. More than once. And each time, he had apparently chosen to forget. Eventually Leviticus and his companions found an ancient mechanism beneath the chapel—something capable of consuming memory itself. When Hobb became trapped inside it, solving the mystery stopped mattering. Getting Hobb home did. This is the song Leviticus wrote afterward—not about defeating the darkness, but about learning that sometimes wisdom means knowing when you've learned enough. “We needn't conquer hell today. We only need the light.” #DnD #DungeonsAndDragons #DnDBard #Bard #FantasyMusic #TTRPG #DnDMusic
