This dance was born on the streets of Egypt. Ghawazi is a powerful folk dance rooted in freedom, boldness, and the joy of living. Dressed in traditional ethnic costumes, we step onto the stage and, from the very first strike of the sagats, surrender to a rhythm that has traveled through centuries. The metallic sound, the playful movements, the smiles and glances — everything merges into an energetic, joyful, and captivating story that cannot be told with words, only danced. Ghawazi is a dialogue with the audience and with time itself. It carries the spirit of Egyptian street gypsies who once entertained crowds, sharing emotion through rhythm, steps, and the ringing of finger cymbals. This dance holds deep roots in the past, yet remains alive, vibrant, and full of fire. For us, Ghawazi is not just folklore. It is a living tradition — breathing, laughing, teasing, and igniting hearts. We dance it with love for history, with joy in the present moment, and with the belief that true dance never fades. #ghawazi #egyptianfolkdance #bellydance #bellydancelife #ethnicdance #folkdance #sagats #egyptiandance #danceperformance #dancegroup #bellydancecommunity #traditionaldance #danceenergy #isfahanbellydanceschool
