Wherein I install an EOT circuit in a boxcar. First used in 1969 by the Florida East Coast Railway, the End of Train Device (alternately referred to as an "ETD," an "EOT" or a "FRED" has replaced the caboose on modern trains. In this video, I show you how I made one in an N scale boxcar which can be activated and deactivated without picking up the car. Parts list and approximate cost- PCB (Prototype Circuit Board) - $0.35 Micro switch SPDT - $0.25 3909 flashing IC w/cradle - $6.00 "N" size Battery cradle - $0.50 220uF capacitor - $0.20 Pre-wired red LED (1.8mm) - $1.50 The schematic can be found at this timestamp: 18:15 Feelin Good by Kevin MacLeod is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution license (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/...)
