Shiplake, Beyond the Road 🇬🇧 | A Beautiful River Thames Walk in 4K

Take a peaceful 4K walk through Shiplake, an Oxfordshire village on the banks of the River Thames. This gentle route explores the village, riverside paths and historic church, accompanied by original classical music. Just north of Henley-on-Thames, Shiplake has retained much of its traditional character. The walk takes in quiet lanes, open meadows and views across the river, with seasonal wildflowers and glimpses of local wildlife along the way. Along the route, we visit: • Shiplake War Memorial and the historic village streets • St Peter and St Paul Church, with origins dating back to the 12th century • The River Thames and the boats passing along the water • A charming wooden bridge with views across the surrounding countryside The walk also passes close to the Thames Path and offers views towards the edge of the Chiltern Hills.
