Praise Without Walls 2026 brought Nigerian Seventh-day Adventists from across the UK to Manchester for SDA music, Adventist choir singing and African sacred music led by PWW Chorale. In this SDA Music Reactions breakdown, we revisit five standout performances from this remarkable Nigerian Adventist gathering.
Praise Without Walls was held at Manchester South Seventh-day Adventist Church on Sabbath, 15 August 2026. Rather than ranking the musicians as winners and losers, these five moments highlight different expressions of sacred music, culture, congregational worship and musical excellence.
At number five, PWW Chorale performs the Praise Without Walls theme song. The on-screen credit identifies Chinedu Egbulefu (GBOOF) as composer. There is something powerful about a new movement not only having a name, but having its own musical identity.
At number four, PWW Chorale performs “In Sweet Consent Unite,” composed by Ghanaian musician George Mensah Essilfie. A Nigerian Adventist gathering in England performing music from a Ghanaian composer beautifully demonstrates how African sacred choral music can cross national boundaries.
At number three comes a Nigerian Pidgin praise medley. This is where cultural identity becomes especially visible. Sacred music does not have to erase language and culture in order to point people toward God.
Then the atmosphere changes.
At number two, Bro. Mike Okegbe performs “Holy, Holy, Holy,” bringing the focus onto the holiness, majesty and greatness of God.
Finally, at number one, PWW Chorale performs “IGWE,” with Ndudirim Nwachukwu credited on-screen as composer. Watch the congregation carefully. The reaction shows what can happen when worshippers recognise a musical language and expression that feels deeply familiar to them.
That leads to the bigger question behind this video:
How can Seventh-day Adventist musicians celebrate culture, creativity and musical excellence while keeping worship centred on God?
Revelation 7 gives us a picture of people from every nation, kindred, people and tongue standing before the throne. Our cultures and languages may differ, but worship ultimately points us toward the same God.
Praise Without Walls is expected to continue in Belfast, and if Manchester was the beginning, it will be fascinating to see where this growing Adventist music gathering goes next.
Which performance stood out most to you?
Was it the PWW theme song, In Sweet Consent Unite, the Nigerian Pidgin praise, Bro. Mike Okegbe singing Holy Holy Holy, or IGWE?
