Installing the Easysoft Limited Oracle ODBC Driver on a non-Window platform
We created a video where we do this install and get data back in 52 seconds ( • Installing the Easysoft Limited Oracle ODB... ), but we thought it would be worthwhile taking a more leisurely look at how to install our Oracle ODBC Driver on to a non Windows platform (this could be Linux, AIX or Solaris for example).
Prerequisits:
Activated Easysoft Account (Free)
Downlaoded and extracted Oracle ODBC Driver (Free)
A non Windows platform to install the Driver on, I'm using Linux
Access to Oracle
About 5 minutes of spare time to do the install (maximum amount of time needed).
So you don't have to watch all the processes and because you'll have some of this set up anyway, I've downloaded the Oracle ODBC Driver onto my Linux box.
I've also downloaded the Oracle Instant Client basic and SQL Plus, and these have already been set up.
We recommend you simply accept the default locations. If you are installing as a non-root user or you wish to install in a non-default location then I've left a link in the summary below to explain what you need to do.

That will explain what to do if you are installing as a non-root user or you wish to install in a non-default location.
During installation we will need your Name, Company Name, Email Address, Tel and Fax number. All these details help us to help you in case of a support call.
We hope you can see from this video just how easy these Drivers are to install
