Walking on the Las Vegas F1 track & free viewing points

I walked round the whole Las Vegas Formula 1 track on Wednesday morning, 36 hours before the track goes hot and is used for the F1 cars for the first time. I was suprised how much of the track I could walk on. I also found a number of free viewing spots that could be good places to catch a glimpse of the action without a ticket.
