Of course, even the best shows have their share of episodes that don't quite stand up to the same standard of quality as the rest, and -- at least, when compared against the rest of the show -- one such episode in Avatar was the 11th episode of the first season, "The Great Divide". The Great Divide has often been called one of the worst episodes, if not THE worst episode, of Avatar: The Last Airbender, and technically it still holds the lowest individual episode rating on IMDb for the entire show, with a 7.0 out of 10. Of course, that's not to say that the episode is COMPLETELY without merit or redeeming qualities, and there are obviously reasons why even the lowest-rated episode still got what's technically an above-average score. However, this episode definitely has its flaws, and there's a few reasons why many in the A:TLA fanbase have decided that The Great Divide is their least favorite outing from Team Avatar. And today, I wanted to break down this episode into its different components, and see just why The Great Divide is often cited as the worst episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender!
