Ever wondered what an ordinary day looked like 100,000 years ago? No clocks, no calendars, no written records. Just stone, bone, ash, and the people who made them.
In this documentary, we follow the daily rhythm of ancient humans: waking to cold mornings and fires that had to be kept alive, repairing stone tools, searching for food, reading seasons and water, butchering large animals, sharing meals, caring for the injured, teaching children, and sitting together after dark. We look at what the archaeological evidence actually shows, where scientists still disagree, and what it reveals about how much free time these people really had.
Topics covered: early humans, prehistoric daily life, stone tools, hunter-gatherers, ancient fire, Schöningen spears, Pinnacle Point, Blombos Cave, prehistoric art, human evolution, archaeology.
