Heart Rate Chest Strap vs Smartwatch vs Smart Ring vs Earbuds: Heart Rate and HRV Accuracy

If you rely on a smartwatch or smart ring during workouts, there's a good chance it isn't accurately tracking your real-time heart rate. This video compares four wearable types, chest strap, smartwatch, biometric earbuds, and smart ring, against the actual peer-reviewed research to show what's genuinely accurate and what's worth buying for your routine. We cover the sensor physics behind why these devices disagree, put the Polar H10 chest strap up against its own validation studies, dig into why smart rings are excellent overnight and fall apart mid-workout, and look at why a securely-fitted pair of biometric earbuds might be a better training companion than your watch.
