Once the grand capital of the ancient Martaban Kingdom, Mottama (Martaban) is packed with breathtaking landscapes. Mottama is uniquely situated where the majestic Mottama mountain range runs right through the town, perfectly meeting the scenic curve of the Thanlwin River. The views here are absolutely stunning! When we walked up the Mottama Range, the scenery is truly beautiful. Even though the transportation here is very convenient and accommodation is highly affordable, I was shocked to see how few travelers actually visit Mottama. It is truly a hidden gem waiting to be discovered!
