Like a natural folding screen rising from the lake, this is Busodamak in Okcheon, Chungcheongbuk-do. Once part of a mountain ridge, the landscape was partially submerged as Daecheong Lake was formed, leaving these rocky cliffs rising above the water to create this unique scenery. From a distance, it looks like an ink-wash painting drawn by nature across the lake. But as you come closer, you can see the traces of time etched into the ancient rocks. When the wind gently moves across the lake, the water begins to shimmer, reflecting the mountains and sky in a quiet, ever-changing scene. If you pass by too quickly, it may seem like simply a beautiful landscape. But when you pause for a moment, you begin to feel the depth of time that nature has shaped here.
