Tala Hua Gosht (Spicy Fried Meat) – Step-by-Step Cooking Process
*Step 1: Wash the Meat*
Take 500 g of meat and wash it thoroughly three times using salt, vinegar, and water.
*Step 2: Marinate the Meat*
Add the following ingredients to the meat:
Salt to taste
Juice of 1 lemon
Ginger-Garlic Paste – 1½ tsp
Red Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder – ¼ tsp
Black Pepper Powder – ½ tsp
Cumin Powder – ½ tsp
Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
Homemade Garam Masala Powder – 1 tsp
Mustard Oil – 1 tbsp
Mix everything thoroughly until the meat is well coated with the spices. Cover and marinate for 5–6 hours or longer, if desired.
*Step 3: Prepare the Marinated Meat*
After 6 hours of marination, the meat is ready for cooking.
*Step 4: Fry the Meat*
Heat 100 g of groundnut oil in a pan. Once the oil is hot, add the marinated meat. Stir continuously over high heat for 2 minutes to prevent excess water from releasing from the meat.
*Step 5: Cook Until the Oil Separates*
Reduce the flame to medium, cover the pan with a lid, and cook for 2–3 minutes until the oil separates.
*Step 6: Add Mutton Masala and Water*
Remove the lid and add 1 tsp of mutton masala. Mix well, then add ½ glass of water. Stir everything together, cover with a lid, and cook over medium heat for 6–8 minutes, or until the meat becomes tender.
*Step 7: Check the Meat*
After 8 minutes, remove the lid and check whether the meat is tender. The meat should be cooked through, with a delicious aroma of spices.
*Step 8: Add Green Chillies and Fresh Herbs*
Add 2 green chillies and a few coriander leaves. Mix gently, then add a few crushed kasuri methi leaves. Mix everything well to combine the flavours.
*Step 9: Tala Hua Gosht Is Ready!*
Delicious and spicy Tala Hua Gosht (Spicy Fried Meat) is ready to serve. Enjoy this flavourful homemade meat recipe with your favourite accompaniments!
