In my voiceover I say brief, but, well, it's not brief. It's a pretty in-depth demonstration of how to change the wheel bearings on an M416 military surplus trailer. In my case, I had to fabricate a replacement thrust washer.
Please note that Justin King has an excellent and shorter video here:
• I bought a M416 trailer!! Let's service t...
I reference a number of tools and parts.
Lug nuts are 11/16"
Spindle nuts are 2 1/16"; I ordered the socket on Amazon; Omix-Ada 16711.01 Spindle Nut Socket
Parts:
National Oil Seal 472018; you need two, one for each hub
National Bearing LM501349; you need four, two for each hub
Bearing Race LM501310; you need four, two for each hub
Before you disassemble, I recommend having spare thrust washers (I found that one was missing and had fabricate from a bushing - couldn't get the part except mail order). I recommend buying from Ron Fitzpatrick from his Jeep parts store (https://G503.com).
Inner thrust washer: his SKU A865; Spicer part number 17017
Outer thrust washer: his SKU A867; Spicer part number 17015
I plan to do another video with more of a general video of how I use my trailer both as my utility trailer and as my overlanding trailer.
