why can't i just enjoy cycling anymore? (Japanese cyclist POV in Germany)

When did cycling become another thing on my to-do list? I was supposed to load my road bike into the car and ride in the Netherlands. But somewhere along the way, even cycling had become another task to complete. So I changed the plan. No training goals. No chasing numbers. Just a simple ride along the Rhine, close to home. Of course, Europe had other plans. A closed road, another gravel detour, and the familiar feeling that my road bike and I have been through this before. But the scenery wasn't bad. The ride was good. And a coffee at the end wasn't a bad deal either. Maybe I don't always need a big adventure. Maybe I just need to remember why I started riding in the first place.
