From the Three Stooges to Robonic Stooges Saturday morning superheroes

Remember the 70's superheroes the Hanna Barbera Robonic Stooges Saturday morning cartoon series based on the classic Three Stooges movie shorts. The Robonic Stooges debuted as part of the Skate Birds in 1977 and eventually got their own timeslot on Saturday morning. The original Stooge lineup had passed away by this time and so Hanna Barbera had them voiced by Paul Winchell as Moe Howard, Joe Baker as Larry Fine, and Frank Welker as Curly Howard. Frank Welker was famous as the voice of Fred from Scooby Doo, and as the voice of Jabberjaw who basically sounded like Curly. Paul Winchell had actually starred in a Three Stooges movie that angered the Stooges enough to sue before they were given royalties. The movie, "Stop, Look, and Laugh" was a compilation of the Stooges previous work. Joe Baker later voiced Marvel's Thing in 1979. Their boss Agent OOO was done by the Wild Wild West's Ross Martin. The cartoon series lives on in a recent comic book series that has even brought Shemp into the mix published by American Mythology Productions. #animation #3stooges #saturdaymorningcartoons #superheroes 0:00 Intro 0:57 Super Powers 1:43 The original line-up of Moe, Larry, and Curly 3:09 The Stooge actors left at the time Joe Besser and Joe DeRita 3:43 The voice actors 5:53 Claw the Kung Fu cartoon cat
