Tekken Tag Tournament - GunJack + Jack-2

WTF!?? Wasn't Jack-2 destroyed after the events of Tekken 2?? Why did they bring him back? If I remember this game has nothing to do with the real storyline... So why don't they call this robot Jack-Tag or something else??? I guess these robots are an awesome team!
