Welcome to my Engine Rebuild Series! Kicking things off with part 1 of disassembling the engine of a classic 1968 Ford Mustang! In this video, I show you step by step of the engine teardown on my ’68 Mustang. The restoration journey has felt a little like “two steps forward, one step back” lately. After hours of restoration and building it up to test drive, I found a bad leak. This lead me to realizing I needed to replace the head gasket and after uncovering more, it’s looking like I’ll need a full engine rebuild. Step one of this process is to disassemble the engine in order to eventually remove the block.
