I thought I found the perfect mastering limiter… but I was wrong. In this video I compare four of the most popular mastering limiters: Naturl Audio AL-1, FabFilter Pro-L2, Ozone Maximizer, and the Oxford Limiter. I tested them on the same master, compared the low-end, transients, loudness, transparency, and overall character to find out which limiter works best. We’ll look at how each limiter affects the sound, why the Oxford Limiter surprised me, and why there might not actually be a single “best” limiter for mastering.
