Pumpman consider a senior position on drilling department and in charge of Mud Pump, Mud Pit & Sack Room. He is working together with Driller & Mud Engineer to supervise the drilling fluid, assuring its adequate viscosity, consistency, weight and composition, etc. Sometimes, he might be required to work as a roughneck & derrickman on the drill floor.
