Fat Shark has done it again. Just when I thought I was safely out of Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, Ice has dragged me back into Tertium to see what the hell happened to the game this time. The Depths of the Damned update has arrived, bringing a brand-new three-mission story campaign, a new mission called Spillway, six new weapons and weapon marks, massive talent-tree changes, Golden Toughness rebalancing, weapon changes, quality-of-life improvements, and a brand-new boss who raises one very important question: WHY DOES NURGLE HAVE A PSYKERS?! The new Spillway mission takes us deep beneath Tertium into the territory of the Water Cartel, where the Rejects must descend through a maze of tunnels, waterways, sewers, and forgotten passages to investigate whatever has been lurking in the depths. The mission culminates in a fight against the Prophet of Decay, a terrifyingly powerful Psyker serving Nurgle. The update also completely rearranges the talent trees. Stat nodes have been removed or redistributed across the original classes, new talents have been added, pathways have been changed, and several abilities and keystones have been reworked. Psyker, Veteran, Zealot, and Ogryn have all received major changes, while the newer classes have also received balance adjustments. Golden Toughness has also been reworked, Thunder Hammers have been given a substantial overhaul, and a whole pile of weapons and blessings have been adjusted. There are also six new weapons and marks to experiment with, including the Ogryn Cruncher, Huntsman’s Shotgun, Double-Barrelled Shotgun, Thugshot, a new Crusher mark, and a new Battle Maul & Slab Shield combination. On top of all that, the new Allies and Adversaries live event is running through October 13, giving us another excuse to throw ourselves into Tertium and collect rewards while Interrogator Rannick continues making terrible decisions with our lives. So after all this time away from Darktide, it is time to return to the Mourningstar, rebuild our questionable loadouts, stare at the talent trees in complete confusion, and discover exactly how badly Fat Shark has rearranged the furniture. Let's see if Darktide survived the patch. And more importantly... Let's see if WE survive the patch. FOR THE EMPEROR. #Darktide #Warhammer40K #Warhammer Death Korps of Krieg fund:    / @slyfox43
