This was the weapon I was looking forward to the most when Tarnished edition came out and after playing with it for a while, I agree that it's fun to use, but definitely not super OP when it comes to dealing with 2 or 3 player squads. This is not the new meta. The AoW is very dynamic and kinda works like Blindspot, but since the animation takes a little longer and you only get i-frames on the very start of the move, I was often getting staggered out of it. The base moveset is what all wanted from a gs clas and for 1v1s it is a very powerful weapon. I didn't feel like it was absolutely amazing for invasions overall after my first session with it, but nevertheless it was fun to twirl around with it.
