HAUT | SKIN | PELE – When Dance Becomes Film

HAUT | SKIN | PELE – When Dance Becomes Film What is our skin? Merely the boundary between our body and the world – or also a place where our experiences, relationships and personal histories leave their marks? “Haut | Skin | Pele,” a documentary film by Fernando Lucas, takes us on an artistic journey inspired by “Haut,” a dance production by Momentos World. Beginning with the moving body, the film explores the different “skins” that shape human existence, drawing inspiration from Friedensreich Hundertwasser’s concept of the five skins and extending it to a sixth: technology. From dance to camera, from movement to image, from one artistic language to another: the film reveals how a stage production can inspire new perspectives and how art can evolve beyond its original form. This is at the heart of Momentos World – Artistic Cloud Centre: an international arts and cultural cooperation platform where different artistic languages are developed, brought together and allowed to inspire one another. Dance is one of them. Film is another. Together, they open up new spaces for perception, dialogue, cultural exchange and participation. German Premiere: 31 January 2027 at Cinema Münster, Germany. We are delighted to present this special film event in collaboration with our partners Cinema Münster and LINSE. Our sincere thanks go to the City of Münster’s Cultural Office (Kulturamt), Sparkasse Münsterland Ost and the Landschaftsverband Westfalen-Lippe (LWL) for supporting this project and helping independent artistic and film work reach its audience.
