BladeVault Tutorial: Smart Collections | Automatically Organize Knives with Filters

🔪 Organize your knife collection automatically with BladeVault Smart Collections! As your knife collection grows, finding specific knives can become more difficult. Maybe you want to see every knife with titanium handles, or find knives combining a particular blade steel and handle material. BladeVault Smart Collections let you save searches and filters as dynamic collections that automatically stay up to date! Choose Handle Material, search for Titanium, and select it. BladeVault instantly filters your collection to display only matching knives. In this demonstration: 🔪 Total collection: 185 knives 🔩 Titanium handles: 23 knives Click Save Smart Collection, enter a name such as “Titanium handles,” and save your new collection. Your Smart Collection now appears in the sidebar with a live count of matching knives. 📂 ACCESS SAVED COLLECTIONS INSTANTLY Return to your main collection to view all knives. Click “Titanium handles” in the sidebar, and BladeVault automatically restores the original search and filter settings. No need to configure the same filters again! ⚙️ COMBINE MULTIPLE FILTERS Smart Collections support multiple filtering conditions. In our example, we add another requirement: 🔩 Handle Material: Titanium 🔪 Blade Steel: M390 The results narrow from 23 knives to just 5! BladeVault displays a Modified badge to indicate that the current filters differ from the saved Smart Collection. 💾 UPDATE YOUR SMART COLLECTION Want to keep your new filter combination? Open the three-dot menu, select Update Collection, and click Save Changes. The Modified badge disappears, and the sidebar count updates to reflect the new criteria. Your Smart Collection now contains every knife matching both conditions. 🔄 DYNAMIC COLLECTIONS Unlike manually organized folders, Smart Collections are based on saved search and filter rules. As you add or update knives, matching records automatically appear in the appropriate Smart Collections.
