Part 4 - installation of the shading ball assembly

Instructions for the mounting of the shading assembly on the SOLYS 2 sun tracker. To measure Diffuse Horizontal Irradiance (DHI) with a pyranometer it must be shaded from the direct solar beam throughout the day. The SOLYS 2 can do this when fitted with the accessory shading ball assembly. It is also advisable to shade a pyrgeometer to reduce offsets caused by solar heating of the far-infrared window / dome. It is important to carry out the installation in the order shown. Refer to the printed instruction sheet or the SOLYS 2 manual to identify all the parts. It is critical to put the various lengths of screws in the correct places!
