KOSCHEI is an incredibly ambitious dark fantasy short inspired by Koschei the Immortal and Slavic folklore. After defeating Koschei, a legendary Bogatyr faces one final trial: claim the ancient power for himself or free the spirit and finally break the curse haunting the land. From the massive battles and disturbing creatures to the pagan rituals, handmade costumes and cinematic CGI, this goes far beyond anything I expected from a metal music video. The film explores immortality, temptation, sacrifice, spiritual legacy and the true cost of choosing personal power over liberation.
