Aiguille du Midi 3842m: What Is It REALLY Like? | Our Full Experience

What is it REALLY like to go up to Aiguille du Midi in Chamonix? We filmed our entire experience, from the cable car station in Chamonix all the way to 3,842 metres above sea level. Join us as we take the cable car from Chamonix, climb higher and higher above the valley, pass through Plan de l'Aiguille and take the second cable car towards the summit. Once at Aiguille du Midi, we explore the different sections of the summit, look out over Chamonix from 3,842 metres, watch climbers high on the rocks, see people crossing the snow and ice in the distance and even spot a helicopter carrying someone beneath it on a rope. We also take a look at the famous Step into the Void. We didn't go inside the glass box ourselves, but we show you what it looks like. Later, we discover the Panoramic Mont-Blanc cable car towards Italy, before heading back down to Plan de l'Aiguille. We stop at the mountain bar and terrace for something to eat, enjoy the views and explore the rocky landscape around the station before making our final descent to Chamonix.
