From Qubits to Fault-Tolerant Quantum Computing | Quantum Collective Global | Session 2

Can Quantum Computers Be Reliable? In Session 2 of the Quantum Collective Global Weekly Sessions, Sai Bala Krish explores the challenges of building reliable quantum computation, from the physics of qubits and quantum errors to Quantum Error Correction and fault-tolerant quantum computing. The central question is: How do you build reliable computation on top of unreliable physical qubits? JOIN QUANTUM COLLECTIVE GLOBAL Join our community on WhatsApp: https://chat.whatsapp.com/KK2cx4st54u... WHAT THE PRESENTATION COVERS • How quantum computers process information using qubits • Quantum algorithms and quantum computation • Noise and decoherence in quantum systems • Qubit errors and their impact on computation • Error mitigation • Quantum Error Correction (QEC) • Logical qubits and physical qubits • Fault-tolerant quantum computing • The path toward reliable quantum computation The broader challenge in quantum computing is not simply building more qubits, but building systems where the computation can be trusted despite the errors and noise present in physical quantum hardware.
