Watch a simple piece of wood transform into a hand-crafted evergreen tree, one cut at a time.
In this full-length Sibling Artistry video, follow the woodturning process behind WD-149 as a simple wood blank gradually becomes a sculptural evergreen tree.
The project begins with preparing the blank and establishing the basic form on the lathe. The shape then develops into a cone before the individual branch tiers are laid out and carefully defined.
As the process continues, the evergreen silhouette becomes more recognizable. Each tool pass changes the profile, while repeated shaping, sanding, and finishing bring the piece closer to its completed form.
This video focuses on the visual progression of the project—from the initial wood blank to the finished hand-turned tree. Rather than skipping directly to the result, you can watch the form develop through the many stages of turning, refinement, and finishing.
If you enjoy woodturning, woodworking, wood sculpture, handmade art, wood lathe projects, and watching raw materials become finished pieces, this video offers a look at the creative process from beginning to end.
