Talking Heads Live at Westfalenhalle Dortmund, Germany December 20th, 1980 Lineage: ZDF TV ▶ ? ▶ DVD Decrypter ▶ DVD ▶ Davinci Resolve (EQ, color correction) This is a re-upload as I have found a DVD source in its original PAL format (the old upload had been converted to NTSC at some point). There are no more of those glitched segments at the start of songs here. I have also color corrected the footage to match the more natural colors of the 1981 Old Grey Whistle Test broadcast - the contrast isn't as high, and it's not oversaturated. This should be a much nicer watching experience compared to before. This is the final show of the European leg of Talking Heads' Remain in Light tour, and it's the final show they'd do in 1980. This would be the second of two nights in Dortmund for "Rockpop in Concert." Fortunately, this show was professionally shot; unfortunately, only about half of the show is actually available. David asks the audience quite a few times to dance if they'd like, but it seems they are nervous to, as spotlights are shining on them the whole time, likely due to the taping. At the start of Psycho Killer, some initially excited audience members can be seen lowering their hands when the lights are turned on. He decides not to introduce the band before I Zimbra, saying that if they dance, "they might understand the words better."
