ccording to reports, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan the feared President of the Republic of Türkiye is set to meet Ugandan blogger Fred Lumbuye at his administrative headquarters known as the Presidential Complex located in Ankara, Turkey. Ritah Kaggwa Blog has learnt from sources in Turkey that H.E. Recep was briefed about the recent protests at the Turkiye embassy in Kampala plus recent social media threats by the commander of armed forces and was very shocked of such developments. News outlets in Turkiye reported how government officials there refused to bow down to the pressure from Kampala saying returning a political fugitive would be a violation of human rights and Turkey is among the UN members. Lumbuye is facing 15 criminal charges in Uganda, including incitement to violence, spreading false information and computer misuse. In retariation Uganda suspended all military and defence cooperation with Turkey over Ankara's ongoing refusal to extradite Lumbuye whom top Statehouse officials see as a security threat to the country and the presidency.
