Bharatanatyam is the most popular classical Indian dance. It is one of the most beautiful, subtle, sophisticated graceful dance forms, performed according to the most delicate nuances of a musical piece or a poem through the vehicle of the body of the Dancer. During Arangetram the dancer is presented to the public by the Guru for the first time when the Guru believes the Dancer has achieved the level of skill and excellence in dance after completing many years of training. It is an official graduation performance by the student.
