Welcome back to my channel! ❤️
Join us as we continue our Jaipur journey with Day 2, exploring some of the city’s most beautiful temples, historical landmarks, colorful markets, and ending the day with the unforgettable Rajasthani cultural experience at Chokhi Dhani.
Our day began at the iconic Patrika Gate, one of Jaipur’s most Instagram-worthy landmarks. Known for its stunning hand-painted arches showcasing Rajasthan’s rich art, culture, and heritage, this place is a paradise for photography lovers. We absolutely loved the vibrant colors and beautiful architecture! If you’re planning to visit, I highly recommend going early in the morning to avoid the crowd, as the place gets busy with tourists and pre-wedding photoshoots. Professional photographers are also available if you’d like to capture some memorable pictures.
On the way, we also caught a glimpse of the beautiful Toran Dwar (Toran Gate) before heading towards the famous Birla Mandir (Laxmi Narayan Temple). Built entirely from white marble, this peaceful temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu (Narayan) and Goddess Lakshmi. Visiting in the morning made our darshan calm and peaceful. Right opposite the temple, we also visited nearby shrines dedicated to Lord Hanuman and Lord Ganesha, making for a truly spiritual start to the day.
Next, we made our way towards the sacred Galtaji Temple (Monkey Temple). En route, we stopped at the beautiful Sisodia Rani Ka Bagh, a stunning royal garden built in 1728 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II for his queen from the Sisodia Rajput family of Udaipur. Surrounded by hills, fountains, pavilions, and beautiful murals, it is one of Jaipur’s hidden gems.
Our journey then continued to the ancient Galtaji Temple, one of Rajasthan’s most revered Hindu pilgrimage sites. According to tradition, the great sage Rishi Galav performed intense penance here for thousands of years, making this place spiritually significant. The temple complex is famous for its natural water kunds, beautiful architecture, and the many monkeys that live here, which is why it is also known as the Monkey Temple. Although climbing the steps in the afternoon sun was a little challenging, the peaceful atmosphere and stunning views made every step worthwhile.
After exploring these beautiful places, we headed back into Jaipur city for some shopping at the famous Bapu Bazaar. If you’re visiting Jaipur, I highly recommend shopping at Bapu Bazaar, Johri Bazaar, and Maniharon Ka Rasta for authentic Rajasthani handicrafts, traditional clothing, mojris, jewellery, and the famous lac bangles.
After taking a short break at the hotel, we spent our evening at the world-famous Chokhi Dhani, one of Jaipur’s most loved cultural attractions. Designed like a traditional Rajasthani village, Chokhi Dhani offers an immersive experience of Rajasthan’s folk culture with puppet shows, traditional dance performances, camel rides, bullock cart rides, local artisans, shopping, games, and an authentic Rajasthani thali. Since we’re travelling with our son, this turned out to be the perfect family experience, and we all had an amazing time creating beautiful memories together.
Overall, Day 2 in Jaipur was the perfect combination of history, spirituality, shopping, culture, and family fun. Every place we visited was absolutely worth experiencing, and I hope this vlog helps you plan your own Jaipur itinerary.
