Mom's Records. – Warm Old Jazz Records for a Nostalgic Night In | Vintage 1940s Jazz

She'd slide the record out of its sleeve like it was something fragile, hold it by the edges, and let you touch it just once before it went on. Then the room filled up. Two hours of warm, vintage 1940s jazz, the old records your mother played on a quiet evening at home. Maybe she hummed along while she cooked. Maybe she only played them when everyone else was asleep. Whatever she played, you still know every note. Tonight you can sit with it for a while. Muted trumpet, tenor sax and a gentle piano trio, slow, tender and a little bittersweet, recorded like an old record that's been played a thousand times. For a quiet evening at home, reading, remembering, or just sitting in the warm light. What's a song you only know because your mom played it? Tell us below. 🎶 This is Ruby's Jazz Club.
