Welcome to Loop & Kin! In this final video, I’ll show you how to secure the edges of your coaster and add the felt backing to finish it off.
We’ll trim and fold in the excess canvas, sew it down to protect any loose threads, then glue on the felt backing and trim it for a neat finish.
What you’ll need:
Thread
Small needle
Felt backing
Glue (from your kit, or a hot glue gun)
Scissors
Tip: don’t worry if the back looks messy once it’s sewn, the felt will cover it all up!
This is step 9 of 9 in our coaster kit tutorial series. Thanks so much for making your coaster with us. Catch up on any earlier steps in the playlist.
