Join us as we continue our exciting road trip as we explore more charming South Australian country towns! Our journey took us to Iron Knob, a former iron mining town with just one hundred residents. Here, we marvelled at 'Betty,' a massive digger that embodies the town's rich mining history. We also took the time to appreciate the fascinating blend of past and present buildings that tells the story of Iron Knob. Next, we ventured to Kimba, where we enjoyed a peaceful night at a donation camping showground. Bronte, our Lakeland Terrier got to stretch her legs on the grass oval and had a great time. Our adventure continued to Wudinna, where we encountered the Australian Farmer monument sculpture. This impressive landmark pays tribute to the hardworking farmers who contribute so much to our country. We also checked out the local showgrounds, which added to the unique charm of Wudinna. Throughout our journey, we faced some challenges with our Thetford refrigerator, but don’t worry! We’ll share how we resolved this hiccup along the way.
