It is produced by Skybound Entertainment, Wind Sun Sky Entertainment, Point Grey Pictures, and Amazon MGM Studios. The series follows teenager Mark Grayson and his transformation into a superhero under the guidance of his father, Nolan Grayson / Omni-Man, the most powerful superhero on the planet. During his transformation, Mark finds himself struggling between his personal life and superhero duties, and is forced to prove that he can be the hero that his father is, unaware that there is a sinister conspiracy going on that threatens the world, and will leave him questioning the true nature of his role. Mark Grayson is a seemingly normal teenager whose father Nolan is the most powerful superhero on the planet. Shortly after his 17th birthday, Mark begins to develop powers of his own and learns how to wield them with help from his father, who turns out to not be as heroic as he thought, as he hides a dark secret, which starts to slip when he brutally murders the members of the world's greatest superhero team, the Guardians of the Globe. Viltrumites are a highly advanced alien race of exceptionally powerful superhumanoids native to their destroyed home planet, Viltrum. As the dominant species of the Viltrum Empire, they pursue an expansionist doctrine aimed at universal conquest and absolute dominion over other civilizations. They are feared across the known universe as a disciplined but merciless militaristic society that is driven by ideological supremacy and the belief that strength determines legitimacy. Under the first Emperor, Argall, Viltrumite ideology was formalized into a disciplined imperial doctrine emphasizing strategic thinking alongside martial supremacy. This created a thoroughly coordinated expansionist civilization in which conquest, governance, and cultural enforcement operated as unified systems. Argall's legacy officially established the principle that only the strong may shape the future of the Empire, a doctrine that would later be intensified under Grand Regent Thragg. The Viltrumite War was one of the most pivotal intergalactic conflicts in Viltrumite history, functioning as the ultimate climactic confrontation between the Coalition of Planets and the Viltrum Empire. This marked the dusk of the Thragg Era, the expansion age of Viltrumite civilization.
