Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender (2026) Reaction and Movie Review The brand new Avatar: The Last Airbender movie just dropped on Paramount+ and I couldn’t wait to react to it. 🎬 As a massive ATLA fan (you all know this), this one means a lot to me. I’ve stayed completely spoiler-free - no trailers, as hard as that was lol - so I could go in totally blind and experience it fresh, just like I did with the original series. Set years after the Hundred Year War, this film follows Aang and the whole gang all grown up, confronting the loss of the Air Nomads and Aang searching for an ancient power that could save what’s left of his culture. Directed by Lauren Montgomery, with Jeremy Zuckerman — who scored the original Nickelodeon series — returning as composer. The voice cast is almost entirely new, with Eric Nam and Dave Bautista leading, alongside Steven Yeun, Jessica Matten, Román Zaragoza, and Dionne Quan stepping into the iconic roles. I know there’s been a lot of discourse around this movie getting pulled from a theatrical release and going straight to streaming — but that hasn’t dimmed my excitement one bit. Hat’s on, I’m ready.
