At 5:07, when discussing adding a token onto a food symbol, if you are taking advantage of trading in two food as any 1 food - you treat those as the food they "became", just not as the tokens they were. So if you trade in two fruit tokens to fulfill a seed cost, and the bird had a seed cost - you can place a duet token onto a seed space.
