PAK Test Squad Selection Questioned | Tanveer Criticise Aaqib Javed | Haris Rauf Fine | Silly Point In this episode of Silly Point, host Asif Khan is joined by former chief selector Mohammad Wasim and former Test fast bowler Tanveer Ahmed to scrutinize Pakistan’s latest Test squad selection and critical board policies. The panel raises serious concerns over the selection committee's criteria, with Tanveer Ahmed directing harsh criticism at selector Aaqib Javed for picking players with limited domestic records while ignoring consistent performers. Mohammad Wasim dissects the inclusion of youngster Sameer Minhas, pointing out his average first-class numbers this season and calling for greater transparency and consistency in national squad selection. The debate then focuses on fast bowler Haris Rauf following his recent 20% match fee fine. Wasim argues that the penalty was overly lenient and that stricter disciplinary action was warranted given the nature of the misconduct. Finally, the show questions the PCB's priority on the upcoming Hong Kong Sixes tournament, recalling last year's decision to withdraw players from first-class fixtures for the event, highlighting a persistent clash between short-form tournaments and red-ball development.
