312 COMMUNITY HEALTH EXTENSION WORKERS DEPLOYED

The Government of Uganda, through the Ministry of Health, has intensified efforts to improve primary healthcare by upgrading Village Health Teams, VHTs, to the second level of community health service delivery, known as Community Health Extension Workers, or CHEWs.
