POV: You Are an American Soldier in World War 2

POV: You Are an American Soldier in World War 2 In this immersive World War 2 POV story, you experience the war through the eyes of Calvin Pierce, a 21-year-old American soldier whose ordinary life in St. Louis is suddenly replaced by the brutal reality of World War II. After the attack on Pearl Harbor and his draft into the U.S. Army, Calvin is sent overseas with the 3rd Infantry Division. From the beaches of North Africa to Sicily, Anzio, Southern France, and Germany, he experiences the war from the ground — where orders are confusing, fear is constant, and every decision can have consequences. At Anzio, Calvin witnesses a decision that changes everything. A wounded nineteen-year-old soldier is left behind during a desperate withdrawal, and Calvin makes the choice to remain silent about what happened. Years of combat follow. Operation Torch. The Sicily Campaign. The Italian Campaign. Anzio. Operation Dragoon. The Vosges Mountains. The Colmar Pocket. The final advance into Germany. As the war moves closer to its end, Calvin is forced to confront the difference between following orders and taking responsibility. When another young soldier is sent into danger, he finally decides that staying silent is no longer an option. But the war has one final surprise waiting for him. Set against the real campaigns, locations, and conditions of the European Theater during World War II, this animated historical POV story explores the fear, guilt, loyalty, leadership, survival, and difficult choices faced by ordinary American infantry soldiers. The characters and personal storyline are fictionalized, while the historical setting and military campaigns are based on World War II history. 📍 PLACES MENTIONED St. Louis, Missouri North Africa Fedala, French Morocco Sicily, Italy Anzio, Italy Rome, Italy Southern France Vosges Mountains Colmar, Alsace Nuremberg, Germany Bavaria, Germany ⚔️ WORLD WAR II BATTLES & CAMPAIGNS Attack on Pearl Harbor Operation Torch North African Campaign Sicily Campaign Allied Invasion of Sicily Italian Campaign Battle of Anzio Anzio Beachhead Liberation of Rome Operation Dragoon Southern France Campaign Vosges Mountains Campaign Colmar Pocket Battle of Nuremberg Allied Advance into Germany German Surrender VE Day — May 8, 1945 🔎 SEARCH TOPICS World War 2 POV WWII POV POV World War 2 American soldier POV WW2 American soldier American infantry WW2 World War 2 documentary WWII documentary WW2 history World War II history WW2 combat American soldiers in WW2 Life of an American soldier in WW2 WW2 battlefield story WW2 historical story WW2 animated documentary World War 2 animated story European Theater WW2 3rd Infantry Division WW2 Operation Torch Battle of Anzio Operation Dragoon Sicily Campaign Colmar Pocket Nuremberg 1945 #WWII #WorldWar2 #WW2 #AmericanSoldier #WWIIHistory #WW2Documentary #POVHistory
