Advances in genetic technologies, such as CRISPR and other gene-editing tools, are transforming medicine, offering unprecedented opportunities to prevent disease, improve health outcomes, and reshape the future of healthcare. At the same time, these innovations raise complex ethical questions about human enhancement, reproductive decision-making, equity, consent, and the boundaries of scientific intervention.This session explores the ethical, legal, and social implications of genetic manipulation, examining how society can balance scientific progress with responsible stewardship, justice, and respect for human dignity.
