A New Year with God

A New Year with God is a song about new beginnings—but that “new year” does not have to mean January 1. It could be the beginning of a calendar year. It could be your birthday and the start of another year of life. It could be the anniversary of the day you came to Christ—your spiritual birthday. Or it could simply be a point in your life when God has given you a fresh beginning and you are choosing to walk forward with Him. Every hour, every day, every week, and every month is another gift of time. We cannot change what is behind us, but we can ask God to lead us in what lies ahead. Whatever kind of “new year” you are beginning, my prayer is that you will walk through it with God—staying faithful, trusting His direction, and remembering that our hope is in Jesus Christ, who died and rose again.
