Written in honor of the 125th anniversary of the Ons Genoegen brass band from Wijdenes, the title playfully nods to the ensemble's name and its vibrant musical tradition. The composition opens with a festive fanfare brimming with energy and zest for life, followed by a tender Andante that allows room for reflection and emotion. After a reprise of the opening theme, the piece culminates in an Andante con grandezza, where the two main themes intertw as a symbol of unity and a bright future.
