Mandrake Is A Ridiculous Plant.

Mandrake. One of the most famous magical plants in folklore. In this episode of The Compendium, we take a look at Mandrake and Alraune, the strange history behind them, and how a very real poisonous plant somehow ended up connected to fertility, medicine, magic, witches, screaming roots, gallows, corpses and a whole lot more. We also look at how the legend changed across different cultures, how Alraune developed into its own thing in German folklore, and how Shin Megami Tensei turned all of that into two separate demons. And somehow, one of them might be one of the best folklore adaptations Atlus has done so far. If I got anything wrong, missed something important, or you know more about Mandrake or Alraune, feel free to leave it in the comments! ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🎵 MUSIC USED [Neverhood OST] - Klayman Shuffle Crossing The Sands (Game Soundtrack) - 08 - Eastern Desert GrimGrimoire OnceMore - BOOK OF DAYS Botanicula Soundtrack 08 - level 3 Botanicula Soundtrack 19 - cinem Chaos auf Deponia Soundtrack - 04 Der schwimmende Schwarzmarkt Deponia - 02.
